Twenty Rona employees hit the jackpot, winning $55M -- the second biggest prize in Canadian history.

Twenty co-workers from Boucherville, Que., got their cheques today after winning a $55 million jackpot, the province's biggest-ever lottery prize.

The winners of Friday's $55-million Lotto Maxall work together on the night shift at the Rona distribution centre, situated on Montreal's South Shore.

The 20 colleagues each took home $2.75 million.

"I was completely shocked and frozen. I froze. Obviously, there are so many things you can do with that money thatit's just unimaginable at the moment," said Claudine Forget, one of the winners.

"Once I really believed it, my heart started pounding. I was shaking all over," said Benoit Giroux.

"I am the only breadwinner of the household. My wife stays home to raise the kids, but we just moved and she was getting ready to start looking for a job," said Christian Chenette.

The largest prize in Canadian history was a $63-million jackpot in 2013, which had four winning tickets.
