Montreal's ice cream aficionados can look forward to more exotic options this year with the debut ofThai rolled ice cream in St-Henri.

Pandan Creamery started serving cups of its unique ice cream rolls less than two weeks ago.

Its owner, Madhuri Kumar, is merging her Malaysian and Montreal roots with the unique product that over the course of the summer will churn out flavours like black sesame and pouding chmeur.

"It's definitely less sweet than commercial ice cream," Kumar told CBC Montreal's Daybreak."It's not a sugar bomb."

The cream goes from liquid to the consistency of hard ice cream as it's manipulated on an ice plate.

Each cup has about six rolls of ice cream in it and is made to order in two minutes.
