ONE STAR In her third Fringe foray, Cameryn Moore is nervous and nervy, she laughs often and inappropriately, and frankly she is uncomfortable to watch.

Cameryn Moore, in her third Fringe foray, presents a woman in distress. Accustomed to staying in the background, this is her premiere performance as a living chess board.

Or is it? One of the major problems withnerdf*ckeris that Moore appears to be improvising portions of her one-woman show, which results in plot problems. Fringe play orcosplay, first performance or one of a series, Moore loses the throughline.

There are thematic issues as well. Delivering an hour-long monologue detailing the life of a woman used by men to satisfy their fat girl fetishes, Moore evokes pity. Although theatre is not required to offer catharsis or redemption, without those emotional outlets it must be well done. Moore is nervous and nervy, she laughs often and inappropriately, and frankly she is uncomfortable to watch.
