Construction worker killed at Children's Hospital of Sask. site identified as young actor

The man killed in an industrial accident at the Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan construction site has been identified as a passionate, young actor.

A friend has identified Eric Ndayishimiye as the 21-year-old who was pronounced dead at the site Thursday afternoon.

Police were called to the area around 3:30 p.m. CST following the incident.

'His career was just taking off'

Just a few hours beforePaula Collins had been messaging Ndayishimiye about a possible project.

Collins owns MASALA Models & Talent and was representing Ndayishimiye, who had just been to an audition last weekend at the agency for a national commercial.

"His career was just taking off," a statement on the agency's Facebook page read. "So talented.Asweet, sweet young man whose life was cut short."

"Outgoing. Always smiling. Always energetic. On time. Positive," Collins said as she described her memories of Ndayishimiye.

Graham Construction, which was in charge of the safety of those at the site, said Friday thatNdayishimiye had been hired within the past six months.

Construction at the site has been halted indefinitely while theinvestigation continues.
