Centres providing treatment for opioid addiction in Nova Scotia

A look at all of the facilities that offer opioid addiction, and how their services vary.

Detox

Withdrawal management or detox generally involves using medication to help people manage the symptoms that happen when they stop using a drug. Traditionally, it has helped prepare people for long-term treatment.

Rehab andrecovery

These are centres providing rehabilitation and recovery, generally offering treatment over weeks or months and focusing on such things as therapy, counselling and meditation.
