Navigating the alien shores of romantic relationships may take a miracle.

That's what roommates Sydney and Jeff (writer/performers Sydney Hayduk and Jeff Leard) discover the morning after they've had an unexpected sexual encounter in this wickedly fun and completely charming two-hander.

For distraction, they turn to a civilization-building video game where angels and aliens work to create a world and keep it fromfalling apart.

As Hayduk and Leard bounce back and forth between dramatizing the video game world and the awkwardness of the roommates' real lives, we see that sorting out their relationship isn't any easier than creating civilization.

It's an ingenious structure that lets Hayduk and Leard explore the messiness of relationships through the mess that is human civilization.

It could also easily go off the rails, but their tight scripting keeps it all from getting muddled and provides lots of silly, snappy laughs, complementing performances that are both bold and precise.

A clever and highly entertaining take on romantic comedy.- Joff Schmidt

Not quite a miracle, perhaps, but a cleverand thoroughly entertaining take on romantic comedy.
