It's that time of the year, when teenagers and their families typically gather to mark the close of one chapter before taking the next steps in their education and their lives.

But thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, they won't be walking down the stage to accept a diploma from the dean. There won't be a prom, or after-parties with friends.

Some schools are holding virtual proms or reinventing grad ceremonies, making sure everyone stays twometres apart.

But it's not quite the same and grads themselves face an uncertain future, wondering what virtual college or university classes might look like, or what the job market will be in the coming months and years.

Students are also invited to share their graduation milestone moments with their fellow grads across Canada as part of the CBC's Class of 2020 National Yearbook.
