Nibi is Water

Written and illustrated by Joanne Robertson, Nibi is water and water is life. A first conversation about the importance of Nibi which means water in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) and our role to thank, respect, loveand protect it.

Joanne Robertson is AnishinaabeKwe and a member of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. She is the founder of the Empty Glass for Water campaign, which drawsattention to the ongoing drinking water crisis in Indigenous communities across Canada.
