Marcy Markusa

Host of Information Radio on CBC Radio One 89.3 FM / 990 AM in Winnipeg, Marcy Markusa has been with CBC since 2001. She thrives on holding people to account and loves navigating the news through the eyes of Manitobans who are making a difference.

Over the years, Marcy has covered countless elections, floods and battles for the Grey Cup. Through her work, Marcy is a champion for people living with mental illness, as she aims to reduce stigma around mental health in our community.

In 2022, Marcy received the Order of Manitoba for her 25 years of work in broadcasting. Among her nominators was a nurse, who praised Marcy's trusted and friendly voice during the darkest days of the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2016, Marcy received a YMCA-YWCA Winnipeg Woman of Distinction award in Public Relations and Communications. As host of the 2012 CBC Radio One special Resolve, Marcy won a Gabriel Award and was a finalist for the prestigious New York Festivals Radio Awards.

Before joining CBC, Marcy hosted the television show "CityScape" in Winnipeg.  She also co-hosted morning radio in Southern Manitoba with Golden West Broadcasting.

Marcy lives in Winnipeg with her husband and two stubborn dogs and loves plants, the Prairies and a great piece of cake.
