Tranna Wintour is an optimistic, spiritual, happy, raunchy, pop-culture-obsessed, fashion-hungry, transgender comedian and writer. She made her comedy debut at an open mic in Montreal, and since that fateful moment the lady has been unstoppable. With her unique brand of humour (and glamour!) Tranna has taken the comedy world by storm. She has performed in many festivals including Sled Island (Calgary), SheDot (Toronto), LadyFest, Pride Toronto, and Montreal Sketch Fest. In 2015, she performed her solo show, TRANTASY, to rave reviews in the Montreal Fringe Festival and a year later brought the show to New York City's legendary Duplex, where she performed to a packed and adoring house. Tranna has been selected as a competitor in Sirius XM's Top Comic three times and was a featured guest on Sandra Bernhard's SiriusXM show, Sandyland, which has hosted such legendary guests as Bette Midler, Gloria Steinem, and Sarah Jessica Parker, to name but a few. 

For two consecutive years, Tranna and her creative partner/comedy soulmate, Thomas Leblanc, have had their cabaret shows featured in Off Just For Laughs/Zoofest. The first, Sainte Celine: A Dion Cabaret, was a massive success and ran for three sold-out performances. This past summer, Tranna and Thomas returned with an equally successful and smashing show called Crazy Sexy 90s, a comedic exploration of women in music that had audiences on their feet, screaming for more. Together, Tranna and Thomas aim to produce shows that are not only hilarious, but also inclusive, uplifting, and empowering. Their shows have become known as must-see events and are regularly sold-out. 

In addition to the shows they perform together, Tranna and Thomas host a podcast called, CHOSEN FAMILY (produced by the Phi Centre). CHOSEN FAMILY celebrates the importance of friendship, resistance, and community at the intersection of art, gender, and sexuality. If that sounds too serious, dont worry, its also hilarious. Guests so far have included Jen Kirkman, John Cameron Mitchell, and Eileen Myles. Tranna's work has received the attention of international publications: shes been profiled in The Daily Front Row (New York Citys official Fashion Week magazine), the UKs Daily Telegraph, Journal de Montral, La Presse, Le Devoir, and the Montreal Gazette, which named her one of the city's 20 hottest Montrealers. She has graced the cover of CultMTL and has been ranked the second best comedian in the publications annual Best of Montreal poll. 

Tranna has been described by legendary comedienne, Sandra Bernhard, as a candle in the window on a cold, dark winters night. And Tranna shines that light wherever she performs.
