FILM REVIEW: American Hustle

Based on a true story about cops and conmen, ambitious climbers and politicians, the outrageous American Hustle is filled with spot-on performances, says CBC film reviewer Eli Glasner.

David O'Russell's latest is inspired by the real-life Abscam scandal of the late 1970s-early 1980s and packed with familiar faces from his last two Oscar-contender films The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook: Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.
