Halloween is a celebration of the sinister, the spooky,themacabre andthemenacing...andcandy.

It's the one night of the year kids can get away with eating more junkthan theyshould, and for many of us, remains so well into adulthood.

We asked ourreaders to tell us about themost-memorabletreats they received or doled out on Halloween night,and, like a well-planned trick-or-treatingroute,it paid off.

Some of the best treats don't seem to turn up much anymore.

Lots of people miss popcorn balls, too, for some reason.
