Murder charge dropped after accused pleads guilty to conspiracy in fatal Langley shooting

UPDATE Nov. 27, 2020: David Tull was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment for conspiracy to commit murder in B.C. Supreme Court on Nov. 26, 2020. After credit for time served, his sentence was 11 years and 247 days.


The accused in the shooting death of a man outside a Langley, B.C., restaurant in 2017 willno longer faceafirst-degree murder charge, after he pleadedguilty to conspiracy to commit murder.

David Brian Tull entered the guilty plea before a B.C. Supreme Court judge on Sept. 4,the provincial prosecution service said inan email Thursday.

Tull, 37, was originally charged withfirst-degree murderin relation to the shooting death of Tyler Pastuck, 31.

At the time, another charge of conspiracy to commit murder had been laidin relation to the non-fatal shooting of a second manthat same night.

A B.C. Prosecution Servicespokesperson said any outstanding charges are expected to be dropped at the end of the sentencing hearing, scheduledto take place Nov. 23-25.
