All four hikers reported lost on Vancouver's North Shore Mountains have been found, rescuers have confirmed.

Two separate searches were launched after two pairs of hikers were reported lost on Wednesday night.

The first search was launched for two men who got off course while hiking down from a rockclimbing trip on Crown Mountain, a peak just north of Grouse Mountain.

The pair, who wished to be known only as Eric and Baz,were found near Grouse Mountain around 8 a.m. PT. Baz said they were prepared to spend the extra night in the mountains.

"I had a bivvy bag, I had extra clothing, we had food, water," he said. "This kind of terrain, you really are in the middle of nowhere."

He said they had no idea North Shore Rescue was looking for them until they were met by searchers onThursday morning.

The second search was launched for a man and woman in trouble in the Lynn Headwaters region, several kilometres to the east.

The pair got separated after the woman ran into problems and man attempted to hike out alone and find a cellphone signal to call for help.

Both were eventually found by North Shore Rescue volunteers on Thursday morning.
