B.C. teacher pleads guilty to voyeurism

A B.C. high school teacher has pleaded guilty to two counts of voyeurism in Washington state, admitting he videotaped high school wrestlers while they showered during a tournament last year.

Chi Yung Luu, 30,who taught drama at Delta's Burnsview Secondary School, has been in jail since his arrest in Tumwater, south of Olympia, Wash., in December 2005.

His B.C. teaching licence had also been suspended.

He had pleaded not guilty to 15 counts of voyeurism at a court appearance in January one charge for each male wrestler he allegedly taped.

Luu'strial was set to begin at the end of the month, but with Thursday's guilty plea, he will be back in court on Aug. 8 for sentencing.

Hefaces a possible maximum sentence of five years in prison, but the deputy prosecutor says he will probably be sentenced to a year.

Luu had moved to Delta from Alberta about two years ago.
