Here are all the candidates running in the 2020 B.C. election

The B.C. NDP and B.C. Liberals will be the only two parties to field a full slateof candidates in the 2020 election.

Both parties completedtheir teams hours before Election BC's Oct. 2 deadline for registering, ending a scramble that officially began when NDPLeader John Horgan called a snap election on Sept.21.

The B.C. Green Party will only field candidates in 74 ridings,having just completed its own leadership race a week before the election campaign began.

The B.C. Libertarian Party will run25 candidates, the B.C. Conservative Party 19, the Christian Heritage Party five, the Communist Party five, the B.C. Vision Party three, the Wexit Party two, and the Rural B.C. Party one.

Among the high-profile candidates announcedfor the NDPimmediately before and after the election was called were former MPs Fin Donnelly in Coquitlam-Burke Mountain, Murray Rankin in Oak Bay-Gordon Head and Nathan Cullen in Stikine.

New candidates for the Liberals include former Vancouver city councillor George Affleck in Vancouver-Fairview, current Richmond Coun.Alexa Loo in Richmond South Centre, and founding Geoscience B.C. CEO 'Lyn Anglin in North Vancouver-Lonsdale.

In some cases, the B.C. Liberals had been preparing elections for the party's nomination but because of the sudden election, the party executive decided to unilaterally declare candidates inmost ridings. The NDP went ahead with contested nominations in seven ridings.
