Blast on B.C. film set injures 6

Six people were injured Tuesday in an explosionon the setofthe feature film In the Name of the King II in a provincial park east of Vancouver.

None of the injuries were life-threatening, said fire Chief Dane Spence of the nearby city of Maple Ridge.

The explosion occurred as 20-pound propane tanks used in heaters on the set of the film were being filled from a tanker truck.

The production isbeing shot near Alouette Lake in Golden Ears Provincial Park, about 30 kilometres east of Vancouver.

"Apparently, there was a flash fire, and up to six people have been burnt," saidSpence.

All of the injured people were transported to hospital by ambulance, and no airlifts were required, he said.

The film is being directed by Uwe Boll and stars Swedish actor Dolph Lundgren, who was last seen in the film the Expendables.
