Bollywood stars touch down in Vancouver for awards

Bollywood celebrities have started to arrive in Vancouver for the Times of India Film Awards at BC Place on Saturday night.

While many of the big stars are not expected to arrive until later in the week, several were greeted by excited fans at Vancouver International Airport in Richmond on Tuesday morning.One star, Shalmali Kholgade, even broke into a song for the excited crowd.

At the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Vancouver, where many of the starswill be staying, heightened security measures were leaving many passersby wondering what was going on.

Events that are part of the lead-up tothe film awards have been scheduled in Vancouver from April 4 to 6.
