Investigators have identified the man killed in an apparent homicide in Chilliwack, B.C., on Thursday morning.

Zach Cross, 25, died inside a house in the45000 block of Wellington Avenue at approximately 5 a.m. PT.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said Cross was known to police and associated with drug activity.

Cpl. Frank Jang said investigators believe his death was targeted.

The area surrounding the home was cordoned off while investigators gathered evidence. (Shane MacKichan)

Police were called to the home after someone phoned 911. Cross was found inside.

The area around the house will remain cordoned off for a significant amount of time, IHIT said.
