Explore Vancouver's Christmas lights bike route

Every Christmas the Bruntlett family hop on their bikes and ride through the city to catch the city's colourful Christmas light displays.

This year thefamily of four is sharing their bike route with others,because they believe it's better than packing the family in a car to see the spectacles.

"It allows us to freely move around the city and also gets us to places that you can't get to in a car," saidMelissa Bruntlett, who is also a blogger.

With the promise of hot chocolate at the end of the trip, the couple and their two children, aged seven and nine ride through well-lit neighbourhoodsplaying Christmas carols through a portable speaker.

Bruntlett says this year's highlights include the Vancouver Convention Centre and Canada Place.
