All we can say is a wholehearted, "wow."

BritishColumbiansdonated a record-breaking$1,100,943.00 tofood banks atCBC/Radio-Canada's33rdannual Open House and Food Bank Day on December 6, 2019. This year, we decided to keep the donation portal open for the remainder of December, and this lead to more donations and a total amount of $1,126,483.00 raised for B.C. Food Banks.

CBCVancouver has raised more than $10million for food banks in B.C. since its inception in 1986.

Thank you for your generosity and continued support of B.C. food banks.

Join us on December 6forthe 33rd annual Open House & Food Bank Dayand get a behind-the-scenes look at the CBC Vancouver newsroom, television and radio studios.

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., take a tour of the newsroom andmeet your favourite CBC journalists, including the CBC Vancouver News team: Mike Killeen, Anita Bathe, Dan Burritt, Lien Yeungand Brett Soderholm.

Visit the radio studios where your favourite CBC Radio shows broadcast from and meet Stephen Quinn, Michelle Eliot, and Gloria Macarenko.

Meet Ian Hanomansing of The National and Erica Johnson of Go Public.

From 6 a.m. to6 p.m., watch live broadcasts of The Early Edition, BC Today, North by Northwest and On The Coast.

Plus - Daniel Tiger and Chirp from CBC Kids will be in the atrium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
