Claire Palmer Nanaimo, B.C.

Claire is trading in the mountains of the Kootenays for the harbour city.

Originally from Aurora, O.N., Claire attended Western University earning a BA in Media, Information and Technoculture before completing her Masters in Media, Journalism and Communications.

After graduation, Claire moved to Golden, B.C., where she worked as editor of the Golden Star for three years.

Now, as a CBC journalist in one of Canada's fastest growing cities, Claire is excited for the opportunity to engage with the Nanaimo community, immerse in the local sports scene and explore Nanaimo's outdoors.

Corey Bullock Cranbrook, B.C.

Originally from Burlington, O.N., Corey Bullock has lived in the Cranbrook, B.C., area since 2016 working as a Multimedia Journalist for Black Press Media.

Her education includes the Print, Broadcast and Online Journalism program at Humber College in Toronto, O.N., and the Theatre Production program at Langara College in Vancouver, B.C.

Corey is passionate about covering news from across the Kootenay region and sharing the stories of Kootenay communities, residents and businesses. In her spare time, you can find her gardening, cooking, hiking, fly fishing and walking her two dogs on Cranbrook's many trails.
