Crash in Delta sends 5 farm workers to hospital

Five farm workers being transported in a van were injured in a crash with a car in Delta, B.C.

B.C. Ambulance Services says paramedics responded to a call at 8:11 p.m. PT about the crash atNordel Way and Brooke Road.

Const. David Black with Delta police said five people were taken to hospital with "very minor injuries."

He said the cause of the crash is still unknown, as is the total number of passengers or if they were wearing seatbelts.

A representative of BKS Enterprises, the company the farm workers were employed by, confirmed the crash happened earlier this evening.

The company is listed by the B.C. government as alicensed farm labour contractor.
