Man fatally stabbed in Surrey, B.C., after reports of fight: RCMP

Policeresponded to a complaint of a fight in the 6600-block of King George Boulevard just after 11:50 p.m. PTTuesday, according to a Wednesday afternoon news release. They then found one man suffering from stab wounds, who died at the scene despite the efforts of first responders.

A fatal overnight stabbing in Surrey, B.C., is believed to be isolated in nature, police say.

Policeresponded to a complaint of a fight in the 6600-block of King George Boulevard just after 11:50 p.m. PTTuesday, according to a Wednesday afternoon news release.

They then found one man suffering from stab wounds, who died at the scene despite the efforts of first responders.

Surrey RCMP saidthat the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken on the case, and the investigation is still "in its infancy."

In another news release early Wednesday morning, police said the motivation behind the stabbing is unclear, and it is unknown whether the two individuals knew each other prior to the altercation.

Police described the suspect in the case as a white man, standing six feet tall, who was clean shaven with short sandy blondhair.
