Luke Ramsey named Victoria's artist in residence for 2017

People in Victoria have a chance to meet and create art with the city's new artistin residence, Luke Ramsey, this comingTuesday.

The artistand illustrator, known for his outdoor murals, has just been named to the role.

In the coming year, his work for the City of Victoria could include enhancing public spaces like sidewalks and playgrounds.

In the past, his work has been featured in the New York Times, and he has also worked with The Drake Hotel and The B.C. Children's Hospital.

The artists in residence meet and greet session runs from 4 to 6 p.m. PT on Nov.15at theVictoria City Hall antechamber.
