Michael Bubl's vocal cord surgery has gone well, says his doctor, and the award-winning Canadian crooner should soon be back to singing.

Michael Bubl's vocal cord surgery has gone well, says his doctor on Instagram.

Michael Bubl's vocal cord surgery has gone well, says his doctor,and the award-winning Canadian crooner should soon be back to singing.

TheBurnaby, B.C. singerposted a video of his doctor on Instagram on Tuesday, saying"Congratulations Michael.The surgery went really well and your voice looks fantastic."

The doctor added thatBubl can start the rehab process but should ease back into singing slowly andgingerly.

Bubl responded by winking and singing a high-pitchedline of, "I believe I can fly," to which the good doctor chastised, "a little more voice rest."

Bubl also praised his doctor, saying he helped put him at ease through a difficult time. He was not allowed to talk or sing prior to the surgery.

A Juno and Grammy Award-winner,Bublhas sold more than50million records and performed for millions of fans around the globe.

He had been set to receive theNational Arts Centre Award at the upcoming Governor General's Performing Arts Awards in Ottawa in June. His presentation will be moved to 2017.
