1. Seniors home fire claims one life in Langley

The fire claimed the life of one person and temporarily displaced dozens of others.

2. Wildfire smog lingers in Vancouver

A man paddles his makeshift raft towards sailboats in English Bay in thick smog from the dozens of wildfires burning in B.C.'s South Coast this past summer.

3. Furniture store erupts into flames in Burnaby

Fire crews prepare to battle massive flames after a vehicle fire quickly spread to a large furniture warehouse, destroying the large building on Kingsway in Burnaby in February.

4. Bodies of missing hikers recovered from Mount Harvey

Search and Rescue teams from all over the Lower Mainland converged on the village of Lions Bay to search for five hikers who went missing on Mount Harvey in February.

Searchers believe a cornice collapsed on the peak, sending the grouptumbling down the mountain's north face.
