Pattullo Bridge closed this weekend

Metro Vancouver's Pattullo Bridge will be closed this weekend for repair work.

The 77-year-old bridge will be closed to all traffic, including pedestrians and bicycles, at 9 p.m. PTFriday until 3 a.m. Monday morning.

Translinksays crews will be repairing sections of the concrete deck and repaving portions of the bridge.

The complete list of closures includes:

• July 25 to28.
• Aug.15 to18.
• Aug.29 toSept. 1.

The Metro Vancouver mayors' council recentlycalledfor the aging bridge to be replaced by a new four-lane, tolled crossing.
