Pedestrian struck by TransLink bus in Surrey, B.C.

A pedestrian has been struck by a TransLinkbus on the Fraser Highway in Surrey, B.C.

TransLink spokeswoman Anne Drennanconfirmed the bus was operated by the Coast Mountain Bus Company.

RCMP said the pedestrian, a 24-year-old man, was struck shortly after 4 p.m. PTnear the intersection of 176 Streetand theFraserHighway.They said the manwas taken to hospital with critical injuries.

The cause of the collision is under investigation and the bus driver has been cooperating with police, said RCMP.
