Power Rangers movie to film in Vancouver?

The Power Rangers are coming back.

And it looks like they just mightbe morphing right into our backyard.

The popular1990schildren's television show is getting a rebirth as a major live action feature film with 2017 as a plannedreleased date.Dean Israelite, best known for the sci-fi thriller Project Almanac, has been tapped to direct.

According to theDirectors Guild of Canada's production list for B.C., early production is already underway ona $20 million dollar filmdirected by Israelite.

At this point, the production company responsible for Israelite's film is coded as "Shirt".

The location manager listedforthe Power Rangers film,Monty Bannister, also confirms he will be working on a movie in Vancouver for Shirt Productions Canada, Israelite's production company.

So watch out alien invaders, if you roam around B.C., a mighty morphing Power Rangerjust might send you back to where you belong.
