Simon Fraser Universityofficials says today's noon exams are a go, but tests later in the day may be cancelled if the roads turn bad again.

"Roads on Burnaby Mountain are much improved. The roads have been salted, but some icy patches remain," said the SFU website.

Exams were initially cancelled to keep students commuting to SFU'sBurnaby campus off icy roads and safe.

That wasnot good news for students waiting to head home for Christmas holidays, especially those with booked flights or bus tickets.

"We appreciate that this is frustrating. We are working closely with Environment Canada and TransLink and making the calls as quickly as we can," said a posting on the SFU website this morning.

This is the second day in a row exams were delayed due to "unpredictable weather."

All exams before noon were called off this morning.

"Weather and road conditions are poor this morning," said a release from SFU.

Vice President Academic Peter Keller says the missed exams will be rescheduled for Dec. 19.

He urges students to check the website before heading in for 3:30 p.m. PT and 7 p.m. PT exam sittings.
