3rd man charged in B.C. double killing

A Maple Ridge, B.C., man has been charged with first-degree murder in a double killing in whichRCMP were criticizedfor not following up on a 911 call of shots being fired.

A neighbour found Lisa Dudley, 37, bleeding and tied to a chair in her Mission, B.C. home four days after the first call to police in September 2008. Dudley died on the way to hospital.

Her boyfriend, Guthrie Jolan McKay, 33, was found dead in the home.

On Tuesday, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team announced that Bruce Main, 64, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The charges come almost three years after the couple died. Other than to say they were targeted hits, investigators have not released a motive or other details to "protect the integrity of this investigation."

Charges of first-degree murder have already been laid against two other men. Justin MacKinnon, 25, was arrested in Nova Scotia in June, while Jack Douglas Woodruff, 52, of Surrey, wascharged in May.

An RCMP constable responded to the original 911 call that six shots were fired in the rural house, but he didn't find anything out of the ordinary and did not get out of his cruiser to investigate. The officer was subsequentlyreprimanded and docked a day's pay.
