Stranded snowboarder rescued on Vancouver's North Shore

Rescue crews on Vancouver's North Shore were able to reach a snowboarder reported stranded near Cypress Bowl about 12:30 a.m. PT Sunday morning.

Rescue crews on Vancouvers North Shore were ableto reach a snowboarder reported stranded near Cypress Bowl about 12:30 A.M. PTSunday morning, just days after rescuing a man after a gruelling two-day search in the same area.

North Shore Search and Rescue saidthe boarder had gone out of bounds Saturday afternoon and got lostin the Montizambert Creek area, a steep ravine just north of Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver.

Themanwas not injured.

On Tuesday, rescuers picked up 33-year-old Sebastien Boucher, from the mountainafter he took a wrong turn snowboarding and ended up lost for two nights in freezing temperatures.

Cypress Mountain officials say it's not possible to go out of bounds onthe area's slopes without passing a number of signs and a rope barrier.They said they planned on billing Boucher $10,000 to help meet the rescue team's expenses.
