Surrey RCMP investigating 2 separate stabbings

Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating two separate late Thursday night stabbings.

Each incident sent a man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries

Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating two separate late Thursdaynightstabbings.

One incident took place in the 10000block of SemiahmooRoad a littlebefore midnight.

Surrey RCMP said a 40-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jada Kyle, 13, was home alone next door when she heard some commotion and looked outside.

"All I see is him laying on the grass and he was wearing a white shirt, it looked kind of bloody and his wife I'm guessing it was his wife she got arrested," said Kyle.

Police confirmeda woman was arrested, but said she hadn't been charged with anything.

Kyle said the couple had moved into the neighbourhood just two weeks earlier.

In a separate incident nearby, another man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening stab wounds.

That happened in front of the Gateway Market at 108 Avenue and 132 Streetsometime after 10 p.m.

Surrey RCMPhad an area closed off behind police tape while officers collected evidence.

Police saidno suspect had been arrested in that case.
