1 killed, 1 arrest made in Airdrie shooting

One person is dead after a shooting in Airdrie, Alta., on Saturday, and one man has been arrested.

RCMPresponded to an incident on Canoe Close at 5 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found an injured man outside a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

RCMP said there's not believed to be any further threat to the public.

The incident was not domestic, police said.

There wasa heavy police presence in the residential neighbourhood late into the evening.

Police are continuing to investigate.
