The four-year-old yellow Labradorlanded the job as director ofpet relations afterfinishinghis training with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.

"Unfortunately, Marcus didn't pass the final test," said hotel spokesperson Lori Cote. "He's just a little too friendly. He likes to give kisses and play fetch and all those kinds of thingsnot really what you look for in a Seeing Eye dog."

So for the last three years Marcus has been keeping hotel guests company, and is even available to take a stroll around the lake.
