Amber Lucius, 9, identified as young girl found dead near Sundre

The biological mother of a nine-year-old girl whose body was found in a vehicle nearSundre has been charged.

The remains ofAmber Luciuswerefoundon a rural road on Tuesday.

The RCMP say an autopsy is still trying to determinethe cause of death.

"It is expected that they will conclude the autopsyinvestigation later today," said RCMP in a release.

Laura Coward, 47, of Millet, Alta., has been charged with break and enter and abduction in contravention of a custody order. She is expected to appear in court on Monday inDidsbury.

RCMP say the young girl's death is suspicious and they are hoping to presscharges.

Some residents inSundresay the girl's death has shocked the town.

"It's scary. But there had to be something behind it and eventually they're going to find out what happened," saidHelen Bryan.
