U of C seeking black male after anti-Muslim propaganda plastered on campus

University of Calgary campus security are looking for ablack male in his 20s or early 30s as part of their investigation into Islamophobic posters that were plastered on campus.

Similar posters were also distributed to residents in the Hillhurst Sunnysidearea, but no new posters have been discovered at the school since the original 40 were taken down on Oct. 4.

"I want to be clear that the university's investigation has not stopped," said Brian Sembo, chief of campus security.

Campus security wants to identify and speak toa person captured on surveillance video who may be connected to the incident.

In the video, the person of interestappears to be 5-10. He iswearing glasses with clear frames and dark arms. He also has ona tuque with horizontal gray and white stripes, long earflap tassels and a large black pompom.

He is dressed in a grey jacket with black sleeves, grey sweatpants, red runners and is carrying a black Everlast gym bag.

Calgary policehave decided not to pursue hate crime charges in this case, but the university says it is co-ordinating with police to determine who is responsible.
