Teenage girl charged in case of body found by burning vehicle near Drumheller

RCMP say a teen girl has been charged in connection with the investigation into the death of a Calgary man whose body was found at the scene of a burning vehicle last October in rural southern Alberta.

RCMP say a teenage girl has been charged in connection with the investigation into the death of a Calgary man whose body was found at the scene of a burning vehicle last fall in rural southern Alberta.

FazalRehman'sremainswere discovered on Oct. 16, 2017,in a rural area south of thevillage ofMorrin, nearDrumheller.

Rehman, 36, was also known by the nameAfzadRehman.

A week later, police arrested Dylan Donald Howard, 20,ofMunson, Alta. He's been charged with first-degree murder.

On Tuesday,a 16-year-old girl was arrested and charged withaccessory after thefact of murder and attempting to obstructjustice, theRCMPMajor Crimes Unit said in a release on Wednesday.

The teen cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

She was set to appear in provincial court in Calgary on Wednesday.
