Calgary MLA named to cabinet

A Conservativemember of the legislative assemblyfrom Calgary is joining the provincial cabinet.

Premier Ed Stelmach announced Wednesday thatLen Webberwill becomeAlberta's new minister of international and intergovernmental relations.

The job had been held by former deputy premier Ron Stevens until he resigned earlier this year.Stelmach has been handling the post himself.

Webber, who has been the MLA for Calgary Foothills since 2004, will be sworn in to cabinet Thursday morning in Calgary.
