Police ID man killed in Saddle Ridge shooting

The victim in a fatal shooting in northeast Calgary last week has been identified by police.

Second shooting victim remains in hospital in serious but stable condition

The victim in a fatal shooting in northeast Calgary last week has been identified by police.

Police were called to the 200 block of Saddlecrest Boulevard N.E. around 7:25p.m. on Jan.4 for reports of a shooting.

Two men were found with gunshot wounds, police said.

Gurinder Pal Singh Sekhon, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a release on Wednesday.

The second victim,a man in his 20s, was taken to Foothills hospital inlife-threatening condition.He remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.

Police say they've located a black2018 Nissan Roguebelieved to be connected to the homicide and are asking anyone who might have seen the vehicle in or around the area of the shooting, or who may have seen the occupants of the vehiclefilling a gas can at a gas station, to contact them.

Police also hope to speak to anyone who was in the alley behind the 200 block of Saddlecrest Boulevardbetween 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Investigators continue to review tips from the public and security camera footage from the area.
