Cochrane crash sends woman to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A Cochrane woman remains in life-threatening condition after the SUV she was driving collided with a logging truck around 7:20 a.m. on Friday.

A Cochrane woman remains in life-threatening condition after the SUV she was driving collided witha logging truck ataround 7:20 a.m. on Friday.

The crashoccurred south of Highway 22, north of the intersection with River Heights Drive.

The 34-year-old SUV driver had to be freed fromher vehicle.There were no reports of other injuries.

STARS air ambulance was initially called to the scene, but the womanwas taken by ground ambulance to Foothills Medical Centre with internal injuries.

Highway 22 wasrerouted while theRCMPinvestigated the cause of thecollision.
