Calgary police have three men in custody in relation to a homicide which took place over the weekend.

According to police, they received a call on Dec. 3 around 7:30 p.m. after someone heard a loud noise coming from a home on San Diego Way, N.E. The responding officers found nothing of concern.

The next dayanother call came in, this time with information about a possible homicide that occurred at the same location.

Investigators began searching for the man who was reportedly killed, as well as information and suspects related to the case.

That search led them to a residence in the 100-block of Dover Tree Place S.E., where police said four men were taken into custody.

On Monday, investigators found a body "believed to be that of a 17-year-old male in a remote area just north of Morley," according to a release, as well as a fifth person believed to be involved in the case.

Police said charges are pending against three individuals arrested at the Dover residence, and their names will be released once they are formally charged.

'Another day in the hood kind of thing'

Leanne Miles lives near the residence in Dover and said she's not worried.

"It's another day in the hood kind of thing," she said."Yeah, the police are around. We're still safe.I'm not worried about anything, because they're always here."

Miles said "things like these go in cycles in the hood."

Joshua Paul, who lives nearby the Monterey Park home, is more shocked by the police presence.

"Everyone else is really nice over here.I have no problems with the neighbours, and these guys kind of kept to themselves. There were a lot of people coming in and out, but I have no idea what was going on," he said.

"This is definitely a first for me."

Witness sought

Investigators are asking for help locating a woman believed to be a witness in the case.
