Badly injured stranger found in southwest Calgary residence

Police are investigating after some southwest Calgary residents found a badly injured man in their home.

Police believe man was victim of an assault

Police are investigating after some southwest Calgary residents found a badly injured man in their home.

EMS crews called police to a residence around 11 p.m. Tuesday night in Rosscarrock in the 1600 block of 42nd Street southwest.

Police say it appears no one was home when the assault happened and the residents have told police they don't know who the victim is.

He was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Investigators are still interviewing witnesses to try to figure out what happened.
