Man dies after falling out of canoe on Moraine Lake in Banff park

A man is dead after falling out of a canoe on Moraine Lake in Banff National Park on Monday.

Lake Louise RCMPrespondedto the call around 4 p.m. along with the Lake Louise Fire Department and Parks Canada staff.

When they arrived they found the man, who was unresponsive, and took him to shore to perform CPR. He was taken to Lake Louise by helicopter but was later pronounced dead.

There's no word on the cause of the death and RCMPcontinue to investigate with the help of the medical examiner.

The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.
