No injuries after small plane crashes at Lethbridge Airport

Nobody was injured after a small plane crashed at Lethbridge Airport in southern Alberta Monday afternoon.

Nobody was injured after a small plane crashed at Lethbridge Airport in southern Alberta on Monday.

The plane a U.S.-registered Aviat Husky experienced a "ground loop" collision at approximately 1:22 p.m., the airport said in a release.

A ground loop collision is when a plane goes into a horizontal spin upon landing. In this case, the plane's wing touched the ground as it landed.

Two people on board the aircraft were not injured, but the plane was damaged in the incident.

The Transportation Safety Board was notified of the incident, the airport said.
