Police probe 2 suspicious deaths in southwest

Calgary police are investigating at a rooming house in Mission on Monday morning after they found a body inside.

Officers, who were calledafter complaints of a foul odour at the southwest home,found the body in one of the rooms.The deceased is believed to be a man in his 50s.

The building wascleared while police, including homicide investigators, gathered evidence.

Meanwhile, an autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday on a man'sbody found insidethe basement of aBraeside townhouse in the 11400 block of Braniff Road S.W. on Sunday afternoon.

Neighbours say the manlived there with his wife and two children. They said they heard shouting and fighting on Sunday as well as a possible gunshot.

Police said no one is in custody in the case,and no charges have been laid.

Bothdeathsare considered suspicious deaths until the results of autopsies are released, said police.
