Police search acreage east of Airdrie for stolen goods

Calgary police,RCMP and search and rescue crewsscoureda property east of Airdriefor stolen property.

Police were called in at about 5 a.m. Tuesday and started looking through the acreage at Township Road 270 and Range Road 291.

Police say they have found firearms, drugs and a number of stolen vehicles so far.

They say they are searching through cars, trailers, outbuildings,quonsetsand amobile home.

Police believe the stolengoods came from thefts in Calgaryand were taken to the property to be sold from there.

Three people are in custodyand are being questioned, butno charges have been laid.

Police say they will try to return the stolen items to their owners, if possible.
