RCMP uniforms among stolen goods in bust at southwest Calgary home

Police are looking for someone who goes by the name Curtisafter finding a plethora of stolen goods at a southwest home, including two RCMP uniforms, a duty belt, shoulder patches and handcuffs.

Officers were called to a home in the 5100 block of 35th Ave. S.W. on Sept. 1 after the people living there got into an argument with a passerby who had been searching through items left in the front yard, including televisions and overhead projectors.

The police were called and soon learned the items were stolen.

A search warrant was obtained for the house, where police found more stolen property relating to seven car prowlings and break-ins around Calgary as well as two outside the city.

Police believe the twoRCMPuniforms, along with a duty belt, shoulder patches, baseball cap, handcuffs and a tuque, were stolen from a patrol vehicle May 18 but don't think they wereused in any crimes.

An overhead light bar, traffic advisory light bar and an Alberta government fleet fuel credit card stolen from a surplus yard in Edmonton were also found in the house.

Police are now searching for a man who goes by the first name Curtis.
