Red Deer RCMP seek public's help to find teen boy in connection to mobile home fires

Red Deer RCMP are seeking the publics help to identify a teenage boy after two mobile homes in Mustang Acres were significantly damaged by fire on Sunday night.

No one injured after fire, started by lighting poplar tree fuzz, caused significant damage

Red Deer RCMP are seeking the public's help to identify a teenage boy after two mobile homes in Mustang Acres were significantly damaged by fire on Sunday night.

Residents used hoses to deal with the fire, which began at 9:30 p.m. in two adjacent mobile homes, until Red Deer firefighters arrived and extinguished the flames.

Investigators say the fire started when the fuzz from a poplar tree was lit on fire and then spread to the two homes.

One home was damaged on the front panels and attached garage and the second home was damaged at the rear.

No one was injured.

Two mobile homes in Mustang Acres suffered heavy damage believed to be started by a teen boy who lit poplar tree fuzz on fire.

RCMP are looking for a suspect believed to live in Mustang Acres, or in a nearbyneighbourhood.

He is described as white, 14- to 15-years-old andup to five-feet-six-inches tall with a thin build.

He was seen leaving on foot goingnorthbound through the west entrance to Mustang Acres and was wearing a black toque with black hair coveringhis eyebrows, a grey hoodie, baggy blue jeans and black skater shoes.
